Pros
Met some great people, the show is pretty cool, Production team is awesome. Team outings are fun.
Cons
It’s like a factory if you’re not in production. Everyone saying the same script and doing the same things-reaching out to businesses to reel them in to be on the show. Don’t let the title of being an “associate producer” fool you. You’re a sales person, a tele-marketer. You lie to people all day on the phone saying you’re going to pitch their business to the Executive Producer and hope it gets approved. In reality, these meetings never take place. All the business has to do is fill out a digital contract and put their name and credit card info down. Once that happens and they send it back over, they’ll be automatically be approved the next day or so. The higher ups are so money hungry and fake. The big guy is a slime ball and people get so worried when he’s around. I started this job with excitement, now I’m just there to afford my rent. They fire people left and right, yet when a lead producer begs someone that was new and on the verge of being fired to not get fired (all because he has a crush on the person), they take his side and promote the person. Not only is that unfair to anyone who was let go previously, but it’s not fair to anyone who’s been there longer and was more deserving of the position. If you want a sales job where you lie all day to people, this job is for you. But don’t waste your breath.
