Pros

There are still great people working at Cint, but the current environment can feel unstable and isolating.

Cons

Cint used to be a great place to work. The team was supportive, the atmosphere positive, and the remote-friendly culture made work-life balance easy to maintain. Benefits were competitive, and collaboration was smooth. Unfortunately, things have changed significantly over the past year. A new CEO brought a shift in direction, but so far there’s been little clarity on the company’s vision or strategy. Multiple rounds of layoffs created a lot of uncertainty, and the remaining teams were left to absorb the extra workload with minimal support. Interdepartmental cooperation has also declined, often requiring individuals to find their own way to get things done due to lack of alignment or resources.

Pros

The word that came up the most in my interview process was collaboration, and I have seen this in my first 3 months on the team. I truly enjoy working with every cross-functional partner. Also, even though there are many long-tenured folks on the team, there is a strong culture around documentation, which I deeply appreciate as it makes it so much easier to learn. I also very much appreciate the leadership at this company -- the strategic direction is the clearest I've ever experienced in my tech career.

Cons

Compensation is not very competitive with the industry my product competes in, specifically with a lack of stock options or ESPP, which have been typical throughout my tech career. It's also the first time in 8 years I don't have unlimited vacation (which has its pros and cons). But given where I am in my career, I was willing to make this trade-off. However, we may struggle to attract top talent in the future.
