Cons

Cluster of 5-10 yr former employees leaving including a former VP (unless they erased it already). Fun day was horrible. Huge disregard & disrespect from senior management. I have been disrespected by various underwriting. it feel on deaf ears of senior management but an AVP leadership get offended when I simply suggested an resolution then I'm barred from the project by senior management. I absolutely refused to participate in their meeting games, employee trainings or overtime due to the disrespect. ****Senior management claims no accountability regarding THEIR defective systems— phone system (avaya) or DVI.****** I couldn't even do a warm transfer. I had to either directly transfer the EU or have the EU call them directly. Their avaya become corrupt also causing incorrect employee work time. There's no way an agent can do 44 tickets in an 4 hour work period Working from home, Their DVI is incredibly unstable. I've never been on any VDI environment that completely disconnects after 15 mins then you have to repetively enter in multiple passcodes( 1 passcode is good for an entire day) This company caused a type of delay of my direct deposit. I'm a 3 yr CU member allowing me to receive my money a day earlier no matter where I've worked. I get back from my cruise June '22 and suddenly my July checks gets available on exactly payday then somehow goes back to normal in August.

Pros

Global reach, brand name/reputation, nice technology equipment and solid networking. Opportunity for internal mobility. Good 401k match.

Cons

Incredibly slow systems and stifling bureaucracy. Culture is overall relaxed but not very hospitable, which is likely both a symptom and cause of a high-turnover environment. Raises are well below inflation. Moral does not seem considerably high and the bureaucratic nature of work hinders development. All of these factors combined negatively impact motivation. Very little open discussion about marketplace trends and tedious processes make the role feel very administrative despite being more analytical at other firms who have improved their systems. The firm has done a great job of diversifying across product lines and geographies, but a very poor job of talent retention and upgrading systems, which are the long-term tailwinds that’ll put Chubb at the forefront of the industry.
