Pros

- Location - Some co-workers - Work life balance

Cons

- Bad HR - Bad management - Be prepared to be overworked and underpaid - Bad business ventures that continue to fail - No transparency - Huge turnover rate - No chance for growth -John Resig: He is mostly to blame for the failing of his company and all the bad reviews on this site. Do not work for this guy. He is literally the worst person I have ever met.

Pros

Creativity, passionate people that work crazy hours, and a hope that you could be part of building something unique. Really had a rocknroll feel that you just aren’t going to find at a normal business. Made you want to see the business and your coworkers succeed.

Cons

Look, it is what it is. Looking through the reviews you’re going to see all the same issues. The CEO is a caricature of a terrible businessman and honestly the circle of execs are there to suck as much money and opportunity that they can before it’s all done. That would be fine if it wasn’t through the efforts of dozens of people who will never get the accolades they deserve. Many employees really gave it their best to try and keep that place going. So many endless nights spent hoping to turn it around. Looking back, it seems somewhat laughable in a sad way. Everyone’s gone now. However, this place will teach you. How to appreciate the helpers and how not to treat others. Chive will never be great again unfortunately. It runs too unethically and is too corrupted to save at this point. In reality, from the activity I’ve seen with treatment of female employees, employees in general, constant lies, willingness to peddle anything for a quick buck, and rumors of Charity funds missing… I don’t know if it deserves to be saved.
