Pros
Competitive salary and benefits. Good work/life balance. Private ownership structure enables long-term investments in infrastructure, research and new product development.
Cons
With rare exception, CGI’s Marketing and Strategy leadership teams are weak. Tall dollars are spent bolstering brand impressions and fighting for incremental share in residential U.S. markets when cheaper, more favorable returns are available elsewhere. While marketing and insights teams are capable of executing when directed, they cannot lead, and when Human Resources is provided an opportunity to listen to the mid-level managers who do the work, they defer to CGI’s Marketing Directors and Vice Presidents, who are, with rare exception, inept self promoters. The talented leave, while the capable keep their heads down, their mouths shut, and do their best not to become over extended.
