Pros
The paycheck! Customers are awesome, even if they're often disappointed with the quality of service and product. Truly they should be the focus.
Cons
1. Safety hazards, no way to report, and no serious actions to correct. This employer does not care about safety. Poor ventilation, less than minimal OSHA safety checks, old unmaintained equipment. 2. Bullying. The manager would always stay even if they threatened violence. 3. Power imbalances. All there are lifers or less than a year. No, in-between. Being new, your boss or tenured coworker has more of, if not all the power, while the other people feel powerless. 4. Abusive leadership styles. Persistent mistreatment at the hands of a gaslighting boss or co-worker. You'll always be the problem, never them, even if you say hey.. these numbers don't look right. 5. Cut-throat competition. I kept waiting for someone on my team to throw me under the bus to save themselves. Under qualified talent and refusal to develop, reprimand, or replace it. 6. Moral injuries. Taken from the military, the psychological distress that is experienced after doing something that goes against one's own ethics or moral beliefs. 7. Isolation from support. Bosses pit colleagues against. Workers feel alienated due to gossip, bullying, or competitive spirits. Believe me, if you have any HR issues, everyone in the company will know about them
