Cons
Harsh company culture. After Danaher acquired Cepheid, they had a couple of rounds of layoffs and they had outside security officers posted in all the buildings and some people were walked out. A few people had their cubicle items shipped to them because they were not even allowed to pack their own stuff. Danaher is a metrics based company and every single aspect of their business is based on metrics (sounds good, doesn't work). They laid off managers and distributed their jobs to supervisors as a cost cutting measures. The benefits packages for regular contributors as well as salaries are not competitive compared to other companies in the Bay Area.
