Be prepared for a caseload of more than 40 clients while simultaneously supervising 15 to 20 mid-level clinicians who receive little to no formal training or ongoing support related to clinical quality. As a BCBA, your support team typically consists of five to seven people, some of whom are not BACB credentialed, and direct supervision is limited to a single 30 minute meeting each week. Beyond that, you are largely on your own, so you must continually advocate for your support needs. Overall, the culture feels more like a high volume billing operation than an ethical, client centered clinical environment.
