Pros

- Feel good about the organization's mission - 1-2 coworkers are supportive - Looks good on a resume

Cons

- Leadership wears too many hats to do a good job with any of them. - Very little instructions are provided, and all the women get yelled at (or about, behind your back) failing to meet expectations. - Male employee's word is taken over female employee's word - Leadership has been known to fire everyone at the same time and to ghost employees for months - The kids at Casa Libre get very little (if any) attorney attention - Leadership will ask you to arrange meetings with other people and then not show up or explain

Thank you for your review! We're glad to hear CHRCL was able to provide you with great experience in order to further your career while providing a supportive work environment and feeling of accomplishment. However, we're sorry to hear about the poor experience pertaining to gender equality and leadership. We are actively searching for an Executive Administrator in order to redistribute the duties among administration. Your feedback will be relayed to leadership, please immediately let us know if there are any issues with gender equality as we take this very seriously. Sometimes we can get things wrong and we would love the opportunity to get it right next time! We hope that all your future endeavors are positive!

Pros

you will learn a lot, minimal supervision, casual dress code

Cons

zero training or guidance; you are thrown in to sink or swim but what is at stake are client's immigration cases so there's no room for trial and error. minimal pay all the while you will be made to wear multiple hats and complete constant tasks outside of your job description. zero appreciation or respect of any boundaries from executive director, he treated all us legal assistants as personal assistants and demanded things be done without providing enough information. he what make us feel small, would take calls and ignore us while demanding we stay seated in front of him waiting for his attention, and would be extremely rude to me and insensitive to clients during interviews.
