Pros
The commission structure is unlike any I have ever seen to where you control your own destiny. If you bust your hump, you can realistically make $10K+ a month. Our market's average rep makes $6K+ a month, which you don't find in most other jobs in this job market. There are no store managers, which is great so the reps aren't micro-managed. The culture here has greatly improved as we have reps that work as a team and help each other out all of the time - a rarity in a fast-paced commission industry. We have really nice showrooms and stores that make a great presence in each part of our market. Our inventory is normally pretty-well stocked with all of the necessary devices and accessories for us to sell to our customers.
Cons
With us being a retailer, we can do the majority of what corporate locations can do, but there are a few limitations. We do sometimes get labeled as not being a true Verizon store since we are an authorized retailer. You don't work in just one store - you rotate out to different stores on your roster, which makes it challenging for some to create a steady customer base for repeat business. We don't have vacation time or sick time since we are 100% commission, so if you take time off, you're not getting paid. The path for advancement with the company is a little grey since certain positions seem almost unattainable unless someone else gets promoted or leaves the company.
