Pros

Many of the individual contributors are incredibly talented, kind, and supportive, and I genuinely enjoyed working alongside them.

Cons

The root issue is leadership, or more accurately, the lack of it. The CEO shows little understanding of how to lead a company, build a strategy, or set a clear direction. Decisions are reactive, short sighted, and often made without any grounding in fundamentals. There is no cohesive vision guiding the business. What’s equally troubling is the senior management team. Rather than challenging poor decisions or taking ownership, leadership simply agrees with whatever direction the CEO takes. Accountability is nonexistent. Critical thinking, dissent, and true leadership are not encouraged, which leaves the organization rudderless. As the company acquires brands, the pattern repeats itself. Instead of investing in growth, infrastructure, or long term value creation, brands are stripped down to the bare minimum. Processes disappear, strategy is abandoned, and teams are left operating in constant chaos. The result is confusion, burnout, and instability rather than scale or synergy. Support functions do little to help. HR is largely absent when it comes to advocating for employees or maintaining a healthy, professional environment. The culture rewards compliance over competence and loyalty over results.
