CST has great social/community and environmental values and fantastic social activities for employees at the facility.
Cons
The pandemic has shown that CST is not competitive with "similar" companies as they claim, in terms of benefits and pay. As a result, employee retention has been poor and people are realizing they can go elsewhere for better pay and career growth. CST has a system of promoting employees who have worked there for several years, despite their lack of experience, over newer and more qualified employees. There are significant issues with department manager oversight from senior leadership and HR. Human resources at CST puts the company and management well-being ahead of their employees.
