Pros

* Helped pushed me to pursue my dream after I was incredibly insecure and thought my work will never be good. I was able to obtain it because of their encouragement and pushing. No other company wouldn't really give me a chance and they were the only ones who did, and I am beyond thankful. From be insecure and not confident about my art to being more than confident and now living my dream. *Flexible hours *Artist critiques *Meeting likeminded people

Cons

*Delays delays happen in this type of industry; I had to bite my inner cheek and keep designing. *Strict rules from Apple and Microsoft It was challenging working with apple's code of language and their strict expectations regarding the art/designs. Happy it is over now, and I can get back to doing what I do best which is drawing and designing cutscenes! Microsoft wasn't so bad with their rules which was a relief. It's rewarding to see how much they like it! * Witnessed appalling actions by some people and drama. It happens in every workplace, but I've never witnessed the actions of some people like that before in my life. It was disgusting receiving that email from them and I am thankful I didn't leave with that entire group because I wouldn't be where I'm at right now if I did. It is also both hilarious and sad to see some comments many months after.

Pros

None - this job is a scam. You will not get paid, you will not gain experience, avoid.

Cons

Payment - CEO promises to pay workers at a certain point of development, but to my knowledge this point has never been reached. Communication - This company seems to rely on a simple lie/manipulation tactic. First, you are told the company has a contract with Microsoft/Apple: that they are willing to provide funding for the company, IF a demo is produced by a set deadline. Then, the deadline is missed or, the demo is "rejected". Either way, without any complaint from our contractors, a new deadline is set, and work continues. If employees complain, they are told they can only blame themselves for messing up the demo, but that if they work harder and get it right next time, they will get paid. Organization - The projects are a mess, and are not of professional quality. Everyone rushes to meet the deadline, then get rightfully upset and quit once they realize they're getting scammed. The new hires that replace them have to try and make sense of the leftover mess and the cycle continues. Teams are either overstaffed or understaffed. For example there were only 2 software developers, making it very difficult to keep up with the workload. Interestingly, overstaffed teams also struggle, because leadership has no authority. Consequently, many employees are just "hanging" around hoping a demo eventually gets approved and they get paid.
