Pros
The firm's only client is an exciting company to work with.
Cons
This is a management consulting firm that really has no employees or intellectual property. The firm has had only had 1 client but purports to have much more experience. When it wins a project, it then attempts to staff the project with whoever it can find.
The real issue with this firm are the ethics of its management. Management misleads the client about many factors, including its true travel expenses and charges rates that inordinate with the quality of its consulting product.
Furthermore, Catalyft reimburses contractors for their travel expenses but then treats them as income on their 1099s, a definitely violation of IRS guidelines. Instead of dealing with contractor and employee concerns on a professional basis, management simply dismisses contractors and then refuses to pay them.
The firm has no intellectual property of its own and effectively borrows the processes and templates from other firms. Catalyft is frankly a fly-by-night operation who staffs people after it finds work and does practically nothing to ensure project quality.
