Pros

working at sea some people are very nice

Cons

Hostile work environment Doesn´t live up to their values and cultures. Retaliation and Harrasment are an everyday combo Unrealistic deadlines and workload that cannot be completed to the liking of management within the mandatory (legal) working hours so you have to work clocked out or get in trouble with HR Not every ship has an office for you, so you get a laptop and half a desk in a share space, usually next to guest services where the noise from shows, trivias, entertainment, guests complaining, etc makes it impossible to focus when writing reports Constant updates of policies and record keeping formats. Disrespectful treatment from shoreside Blame culture on things that are not within your scope.

Pros

Work from Home Decent Benefits Supportive Leadership

Cons

Long Hours Extremely Low Base Pay No Work/Life Balance I've been with the company for a while. While the adequate rookie guarantee is still available, it seems doable—even fun. Working 6-7 days a week almost makes sense. Once you're working only from the salary plus bookings, it can become quite frustrating. You don't get credit for bookings made online, even if you've spent hours getting them in the cruising mood. You can have a great month in bookings, and it can almost immediately be eviscerated with cancellations. It's hard to feel motivated in the early stages, but if you can work 60+ hours a week for a couple of years, it will eventually pay off.
