Pros
The only pros I can think of are Summer hours and the people I work closely with in my department. I could have listed many more pros last year, but things have changed since they eliminated roles and got rid of really good performers, or worse yet people quit because they got fed up. Management does not listen or care to change things. Turnover is high.
Cons
Where to begin? When I first started here I was excited. There was so much opportunity to increase productivity. Our manager (Director) was amazing! She did so much for the team and made work fun. Made us want to work hard. Ever since they eliminated her role, things have gone downhill. There is no solid leadership, the moral is blah, and the culture is fend for yourself. Also, a lot of back-stabbing - don't trust anyone here. Ownership and the executive team are absent. We never see or hear from them. Not sure what I am working towards as there are no goals. There is no direction - we just help each other out and come up with answers that should be answered by a manager/director. If you show you care and want to better things, history shows that you will be let go. This has happened with multiple people in the organization. We had a solid team. The President of the company makes horrible decisions and no one really knows what he does on a day to day basis. The benefits are expensive, the 401 K match is insulting ($750/year), the pay is low and fringe benefits are very minimal. Like I mentioned, it use to be fun to come to work. Our director would see to it that we went on team outings, decorated the office, celebrated holidays, etc. She did all this while creating a paperless environment and developing processes that created efficiencies across the organization. Those times are behind us and it is sad.
