Pros
It's "technically" independent work, if you keep your head down and don't talk to anyone. Clock in, clock out. You don't really have to talk to customers or clients. There wasn't really anything good about the place aside from SOME of the coworkers. Some of the coworkers were funny and a joy to work with but some are just ... inappropriate and rude. The shift leads were awesome, all about teamwork and helpful. Pity potlucks, I guess if you're into that.
Cons
Management sucks and breathes down your neck by constantly checking the cameras and then berating you the next day. Talk about invasion of privacy and toxic work culture. There is a huge lack of distrust and unprofessionalism rampant in this workplace. Their outdated inventory system is absolute garbage and you spend more time figuring out labels or trying to get labels while arguing with staff-- instead of just loading freight. It's ridiculous. This system needs a massive overhaul. The ego of some of staff and management are through the roof and they claim they care about your safety but they really don't. They will guilt trip you if you have a sick day or suffer an injury and make you come in On top of that, management treats you like you are highschoolers. I wouldn't have rated this location so poorly if any of the management had any ounce of emotional intelligence but they don't. But considering their track record of just hiring about anyone and not having actual standards or a set criteria for their applicants, it makes sense why their leadership sucks because all the people they hire don't actually care about the job and just need a paycheck. Supervisors are uptight and and have no idea what's going on the floor 90% of the time and their only contribution is to complain and micromanage you when freight is messed up while they sit in their offices in their entire day instead of helping out on the floor when they are short staffed. They genuinely do not care about team morale and its like the idea of wanting their employees to be happy--that good team morale can actually result in better results is completely foreign to them.
