Pros
The coffee is good and you get a free half pound of beans a week, as well as a free shift drink for every shift you work. As a team member, I felt the hours were very flexible, so it would be a great job for students. It's also a fun work environment, or can be, depending on your manager and co-workers. You can also get benefits as a part-time employee as long as you work at least twenty hours a week.
Cons
The pay is low to start with and there's really no reward for sticking around past the six month and one year mark. I've been there for over a year, and the only raise I got was in response to a minimum wage increase in Minnesota. No paid breaks, very early hours, and if you work in a drive thru store, prepare for a headache from the constant beeping in your ear. The store managers are over-worked and under supported. There's no indication that management truly values its team members beyond empty rhetoric. There's also a CONSTANT push to sell coffee beans that the customers found incredibly annoying.
