Overworked, underpaid, unappreciated - Customer Account Coordinator Cargill Employee Review

Pros

Benefits, insurance, 401K, entirely remote if you choose

Cons

You will be subjected to customers’ demands and abuse daily. You are tied to the phone and your desk all day long. You will not have time to get involved with company philanthropy like you are encouraged to do. Management loves to consolidate teams to cut down on the amount of managers they need, giving you less and less one-on-one attention. Supervisors are completely removed. You are forced to ask other coordinators for advice and training because of this. People quit or apply to other departments and then are not replaced, increasing everyone’s work load. Cargill’s favorite past time is using the smallest amount of people and resources possible to create the largest possible output without regard for work/life balance, the use of vacation days, mental health, or a decent salary. You WILL be performing jobs that are not outlined in your job responsibilities and your salary will not reflect this. These problems do not stop with positions in customer operations but extend to supply planning, invoicing, trucking, and management. This is a corporate job and they will use you up. Turnover here is a joke. You are replaceable and you’ll never get to forget it. But don’t worry, once a year is “customer ops appreciation week” and you get to play online bingo for gift cards.
