Do not micromanage (as if you know what you are doing better than the person you hired to do it). There is a good reason you extensively interview and selectively hire top talent. This is because they are way more qualified than you are at doing what they do. There is also a good reason behind hiring managers. They are managers. They manage. Your job is to delegate, oversee (from a distance), receive reports and make executive decisions when necessary. That’s it. Everything else is overkill, overwhelming, and morale-bashing. Stop telling people who are more than qualified to do something how to do it. They know their field better than you do. Let talent do what talent does: produce results. Micromanaging just kills the process before it even has a chance to realize its potential. Trust me; I’ve seen it happen many, many times. The company started out on the right foot but truly doesn’t care about its employees.Upper Management is unqualified and is a complete joke
