Cons
When I first joined Capital One, the recruiter promised me that I would be paid a generous severance if I was made redundant. However, Capital One recently decided that they wanted to replace me with a more senior level employee, and so they engineered a scheme to put me on a "coaching plan" for an employee 2 levels my senior. When I don't meet their expectations, I will have the option to resign (and get no severance) or get fired for "poor performance," receiving only a 6 week severance and a Performance Improvement Plan that would forbid me from ever working there again.
