Pros
- Inclusive employer - Lots of really nice people around the organisation - Some really interesting work (but these projects are few and far between)
Cons
- A lot internal processes, systems and overall governance is a bit of a mess. This makes admin, bidding for work and high quality delivery much harder than it should be and we lose a lot of work. - Strong performance sometimes comes secondary in end-of-year reviews to 'peacocking'. This encourages the wrong kinds of behaviour, and unfortunately this is quite widespread. - Pay isn't great compared to the industry. - Department specific: My area is led by a team of VPs (partners) who appear to be completely out of their depth, leading to a lack of direction and a lack of oversight for project delivery and bid work. - Department specific: There is limited responsibility or accountability taken at the top levels, meaning that it all falls on the more junior staff. This is true for bid outcomes, project delivery, utilisation, etc.
