Pros
- great work life balance as most of the time you aren’t actually doing much work - very flexible with24/7 wfh option and working abroad - generally people are quite nice to work with
Cons
- Career development - they have limited promotion slots to 1 space per 40 in grade, especially so on the junior end. They prioritise VP’s and Director progression and ignore anyone below managing consultant. As a result of which, attrition has been the highest I’ve ever seen and the 5 years I’ve been here. They are mostly losing their best talent and couldn’t seem to care as they still have a recruitment budget that “comes from a separate pot” they can’t use to reward people for their hard earned efforts and keep them around - Compensation - they are below the market average and have been for years, pay freezes for more than a year and over the course of my 4+ years with above average performance reviews, 2 of which came in the top 1% of the company, I have only ever had 1 pay raise and 1 promotion Learning & Development - their approach to developing yourself is solely through project experience, they will use a throw away line that they have some online courses but the quality of them are less than YouTube videos.
