Canopy is filled to the top with very talented people! The culture is friendly and engaged. No cliques. We are all one big team and everyone has their place! About 15/20% of the company seems to get promoted every year, which is great but unusually high and with so many promotions makes those who weren't promoted seem like they did something wrong.
Cons
Executives seem to be leaving which says something. The company has an identity crisis regarding its place in the healthcare ecosystem. It's not a provider nor the insurer, so it's adding additional layers to the already complicated healthcare system that seem unnecessary. Because Canopy is relatively new and still proving itself there is also a tendency toward overwork which is not healthy and can lead to burnout. This has improved over time.
-Small company which means it easily maintains a good culture
-Working from home is OK
-Very good pay for all class of employees. Like well above what even the much larger companies pay.
Cons
-It was very top heavy dominated by IT which spent a mind-blowing amount of money and produced practically nothing.
-The previous CEO spent a lot of time caring about how we "looked" to our investors and partners rather than actually making difficult decisions and looking for innovative ways to grow
