Pros
The only pro is really the staff, and I don’t mean management. Management is horrible. But your coworkers. Most of them are awesome people and are so welcoming when you have a question or concern. They understand that management can be… iffy and want to help and feel valued when you come to them for advice or guidance. Something they don’t feel from their superiors.
Cons
Management is terrible. Bipolar almost. At times they’re horribly mean and sometimes they treat you like a friend you’ve had for 15 years. Rather than communicating the issue at hand they bash you and make you feel small. The owners included. You feel like you can’t ask questions without being slandered. Training is poor. Majority of my “training” was figuring it out on my own, and if I asked questions I was ridiculed for not already knowing. There are ZERO protocols in place (at least not on paper for reference, you’ll have to ask what they are and half the time a solid answer isn’t given.) There isn’t much growth to come from the customer service department, you kind of just stay where you are. As a customer service representative you’re treated as the person on the bottom of the totem pole, because you don’t make the owners or company any money. In their eyes at least. Customer service is the face of the company, but they don’t seem to understand or care about that and treat you like utter garbage. It seems to be a reoccurring wall I’ve walked into, where all people who have gone to school for whatever their position is, feels they are superior to you entirely. I was hired as a customer service representative and a front desk staff, and I’m treated like I’m of value to nothing and no one. Replaceable. I’m unfortunately not the only one that feels this way.
