Pros
I learned about many aspects of sales in the corporation, as well as the different types of ways to push projects on customers.
Cons
Their work was quite dirty, as they were pushing products using fake/unrealistic reviews and having people in low-income areas purchase their low grade products for high margins. I was told that it was going to be a Finance internship but turned out to be a low-level pyramid scheme involving sales in Canadian Tires. I knew what I was getting myself into the first couple of weeks, but did not have the capacity to quit at the point to hold onto the job. Low Salary! We were making base pay ($11.25/Hour) but were expected to work from 7:30/8:00 am till late evenings. There were days that I would spend 80 Hours a week on the field, but would only get paid for 40 since I was considered a "manager" after the 3rd week there. It was not beneficial for me since I didn't see room for growth, nor was it fulfilling to earn less than minimum wage and have a heavy heart ripping people off in stores.
