An amazing experience overall. You get to meet people from so many different walks of life and create special bonds.

Working long hours, can be very stressful especially if you have misbehaved campers.

Co-workers are from all over the world. Everyone is very adventurous and positive to be around. The job itself is one of a kind in regards to being outside all summer and working with the campers.

Very strict rules, low pay, and little appreciation. Camp management will squeeze everything they can & then some from counselors. You will no doubt end the summer feeling frustrated and burnt out. It doesn’t have to be that way either, if they allowed more time off and hired more people (they definitely have the money to do so). If they can’t do that, then the pay should be double, if not more, than what they currently offer (no exaggeration).
