Pros
Was hired right after gradschool with relatively good pay/benefits. Learned "cGMP" and lab techniques at "the industry standard". It's a good "first job" but not something to stay there forever.
Cons
Extremely high turnover rate (>50%). There is no work-life balance and people do the job of 2-3 people, including lab cleaning. Benefits could be better, specially the vesting options and parental leave (there was no parental leave). The biopharma department at the Durham site pretty much has no leadership and managers are very unhelpful and unorganized. Methods are validated very poorly due to lack of leadership, and they are pushed through somehow. Good luck deciphering a test method. Do not expect management to fulfill their promises on raises or anything nice.
