Pros

- So many events for fun and learning. - Many helpful and kind colleagues - Quite relaxed and slow pace - Great pension and medical scheme. - Awesome global recharges - Definitely one of the best company to work for - low salary but it's still a company that is fun to learn in and its the most important part. - The projects you are given will help the company and you will know what your products are missing and why your task is important. - As an intern, there are events for interns specifically to meet up. Its definitely worth it and communication skills improve with presentation opportunities. - Because there are events, you can improve your LinkedIn - Since the company is very broad, you will be able to learn from people on different things they do. You can learn a lot of history and speak face to face with everyone on not just tech related fields. They have casual talks on coffee time and always ask you whats up with your tasks and will make the time to help you out. - you learn new stuff. I came for the c++ originally, but my team ended up working with Python, which I had no prior knowledge to. - definitely more stuff I missed but the company was an enjoyable experience. I came with a bunch of different interns all working in many different teams and areas, but I am happy with where I stand. - wonderful place to eat LOL big canteen, pizza tays on tech talks, and fridges and there are expert workers that keeps the place really clean and tidy. Lots of green plants to keep relaxed. Lots of small working pods for deep concentration. - fantastic that its hybrid! And you can decorate your desk. - the career experience you get here is invaluable and will definitely help you out in the future as you come across many unique challenges. - the companys always looking for ways to improve and can only improve with your feedback. So keep open. - learning events are possible with mentor and mentee platforms internally within the company. This one's a fantastic benefit so make full use of it. My stongest advice: you wont know everything but dont always spend your time learning in your particular tasks. When theres an opportunity to meet people, go for it unless you have major deadlines. I think its the most important thing. Never leave out the connections and networking. Be sure to be active in your linked in since theres many events!

Cons

- The learning curve in my opinion is dependent on you. There are many things you can do here including linkedIn courses from the company. But sometimes interns come in and have work only a month later. Which means you have to work for yourself and try to improve on your own when it happens. - In my team, we worked on maintaining the software. Since cadence is very old and very new at the same time, you may be dumped in a project that requires not so helpful or useful coding languages. Such as the language "Skill" and "Visual Basic". Though you work with the company's leading softwares, what you learn may be applicable only to that company. - It is important to consider that even with all these drawbacks, you will have plenty to say for your challenges and unexpected encounters for next accessment interviews related to examples in work places where blahblah - Might be slow paced that you forget youre in a work place. It may make you too relaxed but only you make the best of it. - People may conaider the company having long work hours. Which may be true depending on your team and personality. I think its wonderful for what it is. You have full hands on experience with the team. You have experience with overseas collegues that are also friendly to add into reports for university and this will shine a lot in next interviews as you have a lot to say about your company. You can come in early and arrange times to leave early and join in from online in different meetings, in an office day. - again, career opportunities may only be exclusive to reworking in Cadence depending in where you worked for the company.
