Pros
Co-workers. They are awesome. Just like in just about every other company. Nothing surprising here. No scandals. That's a good thing.
Cons
The company randomly lays people off - only a few at a time, so it doesn't attract attention, but it apparently happens every December. Someone in some back office somewhere is fiddling with a spreadsheet that goes to the shareholders, and thinks that by reducing "costs", it's good for the long-term benefit of the company. They are wrong. It is driving morale into the toilet. On the surface, everyone remaining is all smiley, but they are worried, and those who are career-savvy are quietly moving out. I suppose that's OK if you are number 2 in your market niche and determined to stay that way. In effect, this company is boldly striving to be average.
