Pros
The office space WOW! a fantastic view of Sydney, lots of recreational time, and meetings; they love their meetings. Some friendly people, great cafes and pubs in the area. And if your after inspirational quotes, the CEO will provide you with his inspiring thoughts and philosophy. If you enjoy a double Negroni's or a dirty Martini, then this place is for you; not only does management believe it's ok to be hammered during work hours, but it is considered acceptable. Hang with these guys, and not only will you be a VIP @ their local bar, but at all the great bars around the area. Seriously this is a fun place.
Cons
Unfortunately, as enjoyable as the hour's get-togethers and homemade style Tuesday in-house lunches are. I need to be genuine and use this space to reach out to young and aspiring designers. This place is all about appearances, false promises, and personal financial gain. There are no mentors, no proper inductions, zero guidance. The communication between BMs, directors, creatives is minimal. The relationship between Business managers and creatives is an unfortunate love-hate relationship, as much as to say as a bullying nature. There is no Human Resources department to confide in. This place has so much potential, but management has indeed destroyed that possibility. Authoritarian, disregarding and empty promises. The lack of basic leadership skills, drive, or commitment is very present. It seems like everyone is a boss in some way or another micromanaging the smallest of details. The way the first and second Lockdown was conducted was questionable. Imposing facial masks whilst in the office and accusing colleagues of "Taking the Mickey" whilst working from home was expressed by the CEO. Even to say bringing a staff member to tears. They have a handful of clients, and if Shutterstock images are what you consider designing, you'll enjoy the unlimited credit. But let us be honest, you won't be producing work you can be proud of or even call your own. I haven't used any of CX lavanders work on my showreel.
