Pros
-Job stability - decent upper middle class pay (may be higher in cities with lower cost of living) and partial 401k match - ability to work in nearly any U.S. city as CVS is everywhere -feeling like you are making a difference in patients’ lives, however small it may be
Cons
-No work life balance whatsoever -need to work evenings, weekends, and holidays -schedule often published with only one week notice -major understaffing is causing high employee turnover and a lack of skilled workers with no time for training on top of the already short staff -unable to take vacations without planning one year in advance, and only one week at a time; difficult to even get a few days off here and there -impossible to do the job well with the lack of resources given (company is not willing to pay staff to work the extra hours needed to complete everything well and in a timely fashion, as a result patient care is suffering) -upper management gaslights employees by telling them that per their research and performance of other pharmacies with similar workloads it IS possible to complete the mountain of work with only 1 or 2 people, they just are not efficient enough -company does not care about its employees or patients, only the bottom line for its shareholders and bonuses for upper management
