Pros
Very flexible, although this may be more a reflection of being a large company and a sign of the times. People in middle management and in general are down to earth. Senior management is questionable.
Cons
Majority of people stay because they have been there forever. There is a sense of dead wood in the company, although this improved in the last couple of years I was there. The company has traditionally had a round of redundancies each March and you never know if or when you may be tapped. As a result, several of us who are no longer there have really appreciated more positive workplace cultures. A lot of good people have left off their own accord because of the culture. At least this was the case 3 years ago, I hope things have improved somewhat but don’t think they have - I have a colleague who left there only 3 months ago and informed me the environment hadn’t changed.
