Pros
Good people. Everyone that I worked with was top-notch. You have to ability to get help from anyone in the company, at any time. There is a base salary that lasts 3-5 years and probably unheard of in this industry. You are able to help most clients as Country offers a full-service plan (auto, home, life, commercial, investments). Outstanding incentives and company is constantly running sales contests.
Cons
Benchmarks. One policy missing for the month and you lose $1500. At many times, I felt like I was spinning too many plates between meeting the benchmarks and servicing my existing and inherited book. Another con is the mandatory requirement that P and C clients join the local farm bureau. Granted, the membership dues are minimal, but if your client forgets to pay it, there insurance is cancelled and they are left without insurance (and many times they have no idea).
