Pros

Serving children and helping families, staff work hard for little pay due to their desire to positively care for children.

Cons

Direct managers are great, but a tyrant remains in HR and higher executives do not correct her. It has an effect on the whole system.

Pros

If they have money left from their grant, they will help pay for school (but you do have to commit 3 years to working there). They pay gas mileage to home visitors and when employees go to and from trainings.

Cons

Upper management does not care about their employees. No support from supervisors. No raises and low pay. Terrible health insurance. Have observed favoritism. Overly bombarded with work. Sometimes, expected to do work outside of your job description. Upper management will keep things, about the company (such as grants, etc...) from the employees. Very low morale. Very stressful place to work.
