Pros
I've been working at CITISPIRE for 5 years now and love the culture of collaboration and celebration of human potential. Daniel Silver, CEO, is always inspiring me to be better. I've never seen a harder working and more dedicated individual to making sure that each of his employees grow and learn in their roles. He works day and night, making time to sketch and collaborate with each design staff. Designers come to CITISPIRE to work hard, engage in idealism, and design exciting projects at all scales. Sometimes for deadlines, we work over the weekends but Daniel is quick to give us the after-presentation days off to refresh. The design results have always exceeded my expectations and I'm very proud of the work our team accomplishes because of the extra effort. I understand that CITISPIRE isn't a mature and large design company, but after every project success, my contribution is not only recognized by Daniel but rewarded financially through substantial salary increases as well as increased responsibility. As far as I understand, this is highly abnormal and motivates me further. I've known few people that are as honest and direct as Daniel. I trust him because in the time I've worked with him, he always has my best interests in mind. I feel he's always rooting for me to succeed. His artistic approach different than other architects I've worked with in that he truly desires for each staff to engage intellectually to find the best solution together. I would highly recommend people who love design to join the team here. Its been a fulfilling experience that gives me purpose.
Cons
The NY office is located on the upper west side near Columbia University which is a bit of trek for people who live in Brooklyn, New Jersey, and Downtown. However, there is a robust Microsoft Teams and cloud server system setup for remote work that many of the employees use without much problem.
