      Poor Working Hostile working conditions - General Laborer CHS Inc Employee Review

      Pros

      They pay you accurately and on time. Decent health benefits Blue Shield ( but don't get sick it will cost $$$), forget any profit sharing.

      Cons

      No Breaks, just worked 11+ hours outside with not one break or relief, Shoveling rotting grain in harsh weather conditions. Hostile management who play favorites. Dumping all the physical work on one person. No teamwork whatsoever. Bad unsafe equipment. Safety guards removed or not operating. Old Trucks with bad tires, bad brakes, poor heat, no A/C, air leaks, Blown suspension Airbag took three months for repair. Truck Federal annual safety inspections years expired 2020, 2021.

      A mixed bag of remote versus hybrid positions.

      Pros

      Clean refinery, good enough compensation

      Cons

      Folks in mid to high-level management manage, but do not lead. Refinery management actively strays from big-company principles for what is apparently a desire for control over local employees. Capital costs are high but management will fight tooth and nail to save a dime on labor.
