Pros
CCQ Tech has a very talented and friendly community of software developers that made it very easy to settle in and start contributing to their clients' projects. As the company is relatively small and growing, I enjoyed being able to be a part of the software development cycle from a high level. This also meant that I was able to contribute quite significantly towards brand new features which was a great learning experience and boosted my confidence as an intern. I appreciated the flexibility in the hours that I could work. If I had a doctor's appointment in the morning, there was no issue with making up the time later. As the company are fully remote, it was great to have company days out with almost everyone turning up. They organised go-karting and an escape room followed by a barbecue which was a great chance to socialise and have a good time.
Cons
While this may not be a drawback for everyone, the fact that the company is completely remote may not suit everybody's wants and needs and is worth considering. It is great not having to commute to work every day, but it is hard to achieve that office environment when everyone works from home.
