Pros
You will get a lot of exposure to different aspects of the real estate business working for a leader in the industry. You will learn your local market well and start to understand how the business works from a broker's perspective. If your ultimate goal is to get into brokerage, you will have a lot of exposure to different teams and will be able to see if one seems like a good fit. If your goal is to stay in research, there are a lot of opportunities within CBRE. Research isn't the sexiest department, but if you work hard and take the role seriously, you will get noticed.
Cons
A few brokers may use you as their personal work assistant when you are really there to serve the entire office. Brokers tend to keep lease/sales details vague which sometimes can makes the data you work with unreliable.
