I will departing CAMRIS soon and wanted to share some thoughts. Over the last five and half years, I’ve had an amazing time CAMRIS. From the very beginning, the recruitment process stood out for its professionalism and efficiency. Communication was clear and timely, showing both respect and transparency, making the process smooth and welcoming. I liked that the onboarding process was largely automated and streamlined with tasks and due dates. This helped me get all paperwork done promptly and ensured when I first came into the office, my email was working, my benefits were set, and I could focus on learning and acting on my core responsibilities without unnecessary administrative hurdles. I appreciate my team at CAMRIS for their consistent display of integrity, dedication, and trust as well as compassion and empathy. There is always a sympathetic ear when listening to a personal issue that may have arisen or when discussing difficult staffing transitions ensuring that all staff are treated with respect and dignity. CAMRIS values its staff and is simultaneously customer-centric. This mix of professional competence and accountability along with collective emotional intelligence is also clear when dealing with partners or Government funders and counterparts. The relationships are professional and rewarding with plenty of gratifying work and lots of laughter. When working in the office, the team gathers and has lunch together. I will miss this opportunity for team camaraderie, catching up on the news, family stories, work, strategy, music or whatever may come up on any given day. These interactions lead to strong team morale and a celebration of each other’s successes while building a professional, collaborative and productive environment making it easier to pitch in to help each other when challenges and new opportunities arise.
