Pros

Great team of people, good work/life balance, interesting projects, and just an overall great company culture. caba definitely gets it right with the type of personality they hire and it's reflected in the genuinely pleasant interactions with my colleagues here.

Cons

I think as a charity it can suffers sometimes from playing it really safe which can sometimes make for less interesting work. the pacing can sometimes be a little slow, it's not like your typical fast-paced b2b environment. Which some may find as a positive.

Pros

Wonderful company culture. I’ve genuinely never worked anywhere that offers the same level of benefits, such as the 4 day working week, or have had access to so much support. With the right manager you can be enabled to do your best work and have a real stake in the future of caba. It’s pleasant, low pressure at times, and the work life balance is second to none.

Cons

Sometimes the pace of change and work can be slow, and decision making at a high level can be cumbersome. The hierarchy is very flat so can be difficult to progress if that’s your goal. Generally speaking all staff at caba are amazing but the select few, who are clearly taking advantage of caba’s good nature are ruining it for everyone, and it seems like the unspoken thing that everyone knows is happening but yet never addressed (or at least in a way that it’s known about). Contractors and consultants also add a lot of value but I must say some of them are reaching over too much and have caused upset and disruption with perm staff on more than one occasion - I think this needs addressing more seriously. A temp contract worker shouldn’t have such a say in the future of an organisation they are no longer a part of.

Pros

- A genuinely lovely, welcoming and supportive team within an organisation that works hard to live its values. - Strong sense of inclusion from day one, with colleagues who care about the charity’s mission. - Excellent work/life balance, with opportunities for ongoing development. - Leadership in several areas is making positive strides to modernise ways of working and break down silos. - The organisation is trialling progressive practices such as a four‑day week, which many staff value.

Cons

- Like many NFP, some processes can feel slower or more complex than needed. - The pace can feel “safe” at times, which may not suit everyone. - Different functions had their own rhythms and priorities, which sometimes made collaboration and outputs a slower.
