Pros
-The other teachers are very intelligent, friendly, and helpful. -Most students are motivated and polite. -The pay is better than what you what get at some other tutoring franchises.
Cons
-Since schedules are constantly in flux, you must be willing to be extremely flexible. Most of the time, we didn't know our schedule until a few hours before we were supposed to start teaching. -There were a few (thankfully very few) students who terrorized the other students and left the teachers with headaches and eye twitches. -Teachers are discouraged from talking to parents, and the lack of communication leads to lots of misunderstandings. This is frustrating for all parties involved. -You don't always know who your students will be, and you have only a few minutes to prepare for them. You're supposed to get a 10 minute break between classes, but that time usually gets chewed up between the late leavers and early comers. -Absolutely no opportunity for advancement.
