The company cares about its employees and provides exceptional products to their customers. Employees can enjoy Fridays off from work for 2 months in the summer. Being a small company, there are tons of opportunities to learn different parts of the business and make a huge impact through improvements. Management is clear on setting expectations and provides detailed information allowing employees to be successful.

Processes are not always well mapped out, which provides an opportunity to review, refine, and document a better way to work. Access to data can be challenging, but Burpee has made great strides over the past year. There's a need for more in depth data analysis, which creates an exciting opportunity for the staff.

A few good coworkers who stick together.

Honestly, working here was a mess from start to finish. They never have enough people, so you're constantly overworked and underpaid. The bosses are the kind that bark orders but never actually help, and HR is the worst part, they don't protect employees, they hunt for problems and spread rumors like it's high school. People walk around knowing who's about to get fired because HR literally says it out loud. You're always on edge, because even asking a simple question can put a target on your back. To make it worse, they treat warehouse staff like criminals with metal detectors and clear bags, while the office side a gets a free pass. The whole place runs on fear and favoritism, and management just looks the other way.
