Pros
Wasn’t there long enough to find any.
Cons
I was fired after three days on the job at Bulldog Logistics. For starters their office says it’s in Atlanta, it’s 40 minutes away and in a rundown old business park in Conyers. At first it seemed like they had somethings to offer, good benefits, a competitive commission structure, but I quickly leaned it was all for nothing. When I interviewed I noticed that of the six other Logistics Specialist who were on staff only one had been there for over a year, everyone else was newly hired, all less than four weeks on the job. This was a red flag, but I needed a job so I looked past it. The interview went well and they offered me a job a few days after. I thought a one interview process was a little odd, but I was happy to have a job and excited to get to work. When I arrived Monday morning I was told I did not have a desk yet, at the time I wasn’t worried about it. I was told I was going to be with the director most all day and there was no need to have a desk right away since I was training. For two days I primarily sat in the break room going over the new employee packet that primarily talked about how to hustle and that “scared money don’t make money” sprinkled in with some movie quotes about hustling and hard work. Motivation is great, but I don’t need to spend two days reading the owners pump up speech and then discussing it with the director, I would rather learn how the job works and the responsibilities. By Wednesday I was finally getting to lean a few things about the job responsibilities itself. I asked a follow up question to our director about when I could expect to have a desk. She said she would get with the owner. After I came back from lunch I was asked to come into the directors office and she had the owner Josh Shipman on the phone and she asked me to ask him about when I would get a desk, so I did. He proceeded to chew me out over this very simple question and say I wasn’t focused on the right things and not a team player, that I was only worried about myself. I’ve had one previous conversation with him and never met this man in person. He proceeded to fire me over asking when I would have a place to work. I say all this to simply let the next person who applies to this company that this is the type of people you will be working for, a hothead who will fire employees over anything. Save yourself the time and go apply somewhere else. The only positive I have from my time at Bulldog Logisitcs is they did pay me for an entire weeks worth of work and I only worked two and a half days. As far as a place with any type of culture and a boss who cares. This is not the place to be.
