I'm relieved there's no character limit, so let's dive in. Unfortunately, the core values of this company seem questionable at best. 'Embrace the Pace' appears to signify a lack of direction, urging employees to simply work without questioning. 'Focus on the Customer' seems more like a show, as decisions are driven by revenue, not customer benefit. Hiring outside VPs in a panic to try and fix mistakes led to a mismatch with the construction industry and their past experience.
Their past success relied on sheer numbers, selling software to as many customers as possible despite having one of the worst churn rates in SaaS. Revenue and Sales clearly don't communicate with each other. With cheaper, more user-friendly competitors out there now, the company should prioritize retaining its current user base instead of focusing on how to make more money.
The CEO's emphasis on 'trust, transparency, and communication' turned out to be mere buzzwords. A 16% layoff was announced via email on a Monday night, raising doubts about these values. Rumors of another layoff prompted my departure last year. To current employees: consider seeking new opportunities and jump ship.
