Pros

Brooksource listens to their employees at each level and often implements their insight if it's worthwhile. In order to be successful here you must speak up for what you believe in and voice where you want to take your career. Having that opportunity early in your career is rare and makes you feel as if you are making a difference. This company promotes a hard work ethic and will celebrate any small victory. They are growing at an outstanding pace, opening new divisions or markets annually, and promoting young leaders into management roles. Charlotte is a diverse market that has all 3 divisions (Brooksource, Medasource, Calculated Hire) up and running with a strong business pipeline.

Cons

To outsiders and clients, the break up of divisions can be confusing due to the nature of how they have expanded. This is a test to each rep to be able to accurately and clearly elaborate on the organization's structure without losing credibility or confusing them.

Pros

This company relies on growth from within, so if they see potential in you, they will help you get to that next level. There is always a huge support system around you at all times.

Cons

The amount of support can quickly turn into micromanaging, and promoting from within is great until you start protecting those who earned their title sheerly through tenure or a 'good ol' boy' system. Also, the pay is abysmal. They pay you the absolute minimum in salary and the rest is based off of commission, so even the best reps can lose everything on a clients whim, going from making almost $200K a year to $30K in the blink of an eye. They say they have protections in place for that but that's only for the people who earn the company millions of dollars for 4 consecutive years. Also, there really is no such time as a work/life balance here. They throw parties to make you think you do, but if you are out on PTO you will still be judged by your KPI's while you were out, and they expect you to pick up the phone, regardless of if you are on vacation or at your grandfathers funeral. "Still gotta keep you numbers up!"
