Pros

Some really great people . The internship program was a great growth opportunity.

Cons

Management is overwhelmed with attempting to win new business, so they lack support for entry-level employees. Due to the size of the agency and the laid back atmosphere, there are very few opportunities for full-time employees to work their way up (it doesn't help that everyone's annual reviews are consistently at least three months late). I'm glad I didn't have a baby while I was there because the maternity leave is less than desirable.

Thank you for your feedback. We encourage employees at any level to communicate with management at Brokaw so that any and all concerns or questions can be addressed during your time here. Employee experience is important to us – we might not have had it spot on in the past, but our aim is to give anyone that works for Brokaw, a developed, defining career opportunity. We’re disappointed to hear you were not satisfied with our Maternity Leave policy as we operate our policy as most employers do in Northeast Ohio. Thank you again for your input and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

- Flexible work schedule with work-from-home options. - Leadership is heavily involved, seeks regular feedback, and genuinely cares for their employees. - Ample opportunity to work with various clients from different industries, backgrounds, experiences, etc., which keeps the work and workplace interesting. - Opportunities to be more client-facing, such as advising clients and leading discussions around strategy.

Cons

Less of a con and more of an opportunity: They sometimes coordinate agency-wide learning or civic events, such as helping out with the Cleveland Food Bank or receiving a course in CPR. I hope they continue to offer more of these opportunities, as it's a great way to team-build outside of the day-to-date work, while also learn a new, useful skill.

Pros

1. Most people are kind, especially the lower you go in the ranks. 2. You can work on fun projects and have a meaningful portfolio of work when you leave.

Cons

1. The insular culture is palpable. You'll know very soon whether you're in or out of those who have influence. 2. Management are not all on the same page, especially when it comes to the top. Priorities are not fixed except for money, which is king. 3. Pay is very low, especially relative to the amount of work.
