Pros

While I must be honest and forthright regarding my experience at Broadspire, I am sorry to say that the Con's outweigh the Pro's. Below are my Pro's: 1. All the employee's I worked with, except Upper Management 2. Work at home capability, even for the Leave and Disability Benefit Specialists

Cons

While I certainly do not want to scare anyone from applying at Broadspire, unfortunately I must be honest and say Broadspire was not a very nice place to work for. Below is my list of Con's: 1. VERY high turn over 2. High stress environment 3. High workload with demands by upper management to continue to take on more. The Company is currently focusing on accelerating it's Disability and Leave growth without adequately staffing to maintain their existing book of business service levels. Team Managers and staffing are constantly asked to do more and placed on implementation after implementation. There is zero work life home balance and existing employee fatigue is extremely relevant at this time. 4. Poor training 5. Company sponsored benefits are very poor. For example, no yearly bonus for Team Managers or Account Executive / Team Manager. However, Directors and Account Executive's are eligible for bonus. 6. Upper Management is rude and condescending to you. 7. At times, a hostile workplace is evident. For example, prior to my leaving, I was interviewed by HR due to a complaint made by another employee against a Director. To my knowledge nothing was done. 8. You are made to feel terrible if you do not work or answer your emails while on vacation. 9. Christmas gift card. Employee's receive a gift card from Crawford & Company every year in the amount of $50. Unfortunately, this amount is added to your taxable wages. While I understand it is IRS regulations, the Company could have paid the tax for this gift card on it's employee's behalf. Honestly, I felt like mailing mine back after receiving it. To me it felt like a slap in the face as did others. Let me say there is more I can add to the Con list above but choose to stop there. While I have ZERO plans to ever go back to this Company, I feel compelled to warn others if you are considering a career in the field of disability or FMLA at Broadspire. As for benefits, again, let me say they are quite poor. I believe you earn only 6.67 vacation hours per MONTH (not pay check) that works out to be 10 days per year. You cannot carry over your vacation so you must use it or lose it, then again you do not have much time to use. You also earn 3 days of personal days per year. As for medical insurance, the worst. They offer a high deductive plan that is exorbitantly priced with poor coverage's.

Pros

My boss in Houston, Texas is very, very, very supportive, love him so much! He is very considerate, not condescending and very respectful, he listens to each employee, and if any concerns he has a listening ears, not judgmental. His goal is to earn good camaraderie not to lose any employee at all means, and will protect you. I am blessed to still be with them, and thankful for the entire leadership they know how to take care of employees. In return, I work quite hard for the success of this company, that is why 85 years and still rocking!

Cons

None at all; I love Broadspire!
