Management behaviours can be toxic and hierarchical. CEO and management committee advocate for “good” management behaviours, however these are not enforced at the next level down. This leads to a toxic culture in which many people are miserable at work and want to leave but don’t want to lose their flight benefits, so stay in jobs they are not happy in. Additionally there is a bizarre push to return 5 days per week to the office, with no flexibility or hybrid working. This is causing talent to leave the business rapidly, leaving gaps that cannot be filled as no one wants to join a company with no flexibility in 2022.
