Pros

They hired me. After about a month of applying for jobs with no luck, it was a good confidence booster to get an interview and hired.

Cons

I had read the reviews about ResCare on here before my interview and it made me nervous how negative some of the comments were about the benefits package. After being hired I asked the HR rep for a copy of the benefits package and was told that I couldn't receive it until after I passed the drug test. Once I passed the drug test I asked for the package again and was told I couldn't receive it until my first day. That, combined with being told that my starting pay was one amount over the phone and a penny less in my acceptance letter, as well as them wanting me to start in only a week and a half after I told them I needed to give a 2 weeks notice at my current job, really made me uncomfortable. Luckily I hadn't fully quit my other job so I was able to go back full-time. I feel bad for the people who HAVE to work for this company. One of the deciding factors in whether I took the job was comparing the satisfaction rating between ResCare, McDonald's, and Wal-Mart. McDonald's and Wal-Mart have a higher rating (at least at the time that I'm writing this.).

Pros

Your undervalued and underpaid coworkers

Cons

The manipulation Pharmerica uses to ensure the compensation is not accurate! The market moved and the company didn’t, the benchmark is outdated but told verbatim "we are NOT a priority" The company prioritized cost control over market competitiveness
